About me

I am Tharanga Woodfield, and a very warm welcome to my website. I am a trained Medium, a Motivational and Hypnotherapist Coach, a Reiki Practitioner, an Energy Healer, a cheerleader of sorts, and someone who wants to see you thrive and build your best life!

Sithi was my birthmother’s name, and she named me: Tharanga, which translates to “wave” in Sinhala. Together, my Ama and I make SITHA. A true embodiment of my name, I am accustomed to navigating both the harsh tides of life, as well as riding the big waves in the sun, under a beautiful clear blue sky. Water has always been my life. Because water to me can be gentle, purifying, nurturing and at the same moment, extremely powerful. It is after all the most abundant substance on the surface of Earth.

Born in Sri Lanka, adopted to an American – British couple and raised in Zurich Switzerland (yes, it’s a big one, also for me), I have been dancing in-between the Eastern and Western world’s ever since.

My passion for healing stems from a life-long sense of not belonging anywhere and desperately trying to fit in where I possibly could. Cripplingly shy in school, my schoolteachers would always tell my parents that I was overly sensitive, a daydreamer, an observer, and that these traits would not be very helpful to “become” anybody successful in my adult life (little did they know that these qualities would end up being my superpowers). As a child and even as a young adult, I felt so sad and lost at times. And to make matters worse, the skillset I carried inside of me, was not sought after nor supported by our society.

Leaving me feeling even more broken and lost than I already felt. But this inner calling, which started as a soft whisper when I was very young, became more of a shouting in recent years. I always had this deep inner knowing, a sixth sense if you will, that I was meant to work as a Way-Shower and assist in helping others build a bridge from what is now, to all that can be. That unbreakable and unshakable part in me, the one that always knew that I would work in this field one day, has been the biggest driver in moving ahead with this passion for helping others find their voice, power and path forward. I’ve always wanted people to feel safe enough to be able to bring 100% of themselves to the table. And I’ve always wanted to assist in creating a world, where everyone feels seen, held, heard and belongs. No outside circumstance, no person and no event have ever been able to persuade me to give up on my dream. In that sense, I am a true Capricorn. Once the mission has been identified, there is really no power in the world that can hold us back from climbing even the highest mountain, to get to where we want and need to be.

So, here I now am. Answering my call, taking the leap of faith, so I can share my gifts, insights and knowledge with the world.

You are not alone on this quest to “undoing the old and becoming your true self”. Life is not meant to be a constant struggle, so let’s move mountains together and bring your magic to this world!
